"This documentary explores the nature of prejudice in a dramatic third-grade classroom experiment conducted in a small Midwestern town, a town without ghettos, blacks, or campus unrest. It demonstrates how quickly wholesome, friendly schoolchildren can be infected with the ugly virus of discrimination that leads to frustration, broken friendships, and vicious behavior. Host and narrator is Bill Buetel of ABC News" -- accompanying synopsis.

We need to show this film today
Does this not seem familiar currently? I remember the 1970's and ever since it seems we are going in reverse as a society. Back to the the very early 20th century as far as we treat our fellow brothers and sisters merely due to their skin tone or what resource rich region of the world our corporate run government has been exploiting directly or covertly through military and police aggression, post world war 2.

Eye of the Storm
This is a very important film. I truly wish some politicians I can think of would watch this. After this film was made, for some years afterward, teachers across the US did the same experiment with their classes. It was effective but some "parent's groups" killed some of them. Now, I can't think of any school where this is done. It's not that prejudice has gone away, it's just that it's still hard to fight and those who need the lesson the most are the first to stand and say it's their "first ammendment God-given right" to say some of these things about people who are African American, Native American, Gay or undoccumented immigrants. I hope all who watch this suggest it to their friends. It is dated but still very chilling.
